About this work

Part of the print series on the life of Christ: Vita Iesu Salvatoris varijs iconibus ab Adriano Collaert expressa. In a print album with two series of respectively 34 and 25 engravings with scenes from the life and passion of Christ. In the period in which this series was made, 'cripple' was a generic term used to describe a physical impairment of the lower body.
