About this work
The Persian Sibyl, painted between the windows in the Sistine Chapel. In this state, the inscriptions on the right in the representation have been removed. With label with six-line Latin text bearing the name: John Baptist Malchair. Part of an album with 26 mounted chiaroscuro woodcuts after Italian artists of the sixteenth century.
