About this work
Inuta Kobungo, one of the heroes of the Hakkenden, is the referee on the beach in a match between two crabs. In the background, a pine tree and drying fishing nets. This print depicts the zodiac sign of the Dog, due to the Hakkenden (Tales of the Eight Dog Heroes).
