About this work

Five cartouches around the book title: top left Moses with the stone tablets and retinue; top center Fame with many eyes on her body; top right Paul with a sword followed by clergy; middle left a group of men in a circle; middle right a group of men (possibly emperors) with laurel wreaths. At the bottom two cartouches with fruit border: left a naked crowned woman with scepter and the Ouroboros snake at her feet; right a map of the Roman Empire.
