On the left people crowd in front of the theatre, with the verse: 'We must go into the Schouburg, we are the First Masters, / Even if it costs this day a Ducaton for Glasses'. On the right stands a young man in a room with a man sitting behind a desk. Behind this man hangs a cloth on which is written 'Peti-Maitre'. Under the representation the verse: 'To be esteemed, honoured and in regard, / One needs more Learned than writing and reading'.
