About this work
Two angels sit beside a cartouche with the title of the series. Above it, a cartouche with the coat of arms of the Archbishop of Paris, flanked by two putti holding an olive branch and a palm branch. This cartouche is crowned with a laurel wreath. On either side of the scene, two other putti hold up a curtain. In the background, a view of Paris.
