About this work

Album with two series of ornamental prints after Giocondo Albertolli. At the front of the album are successively the two title pages and the two dedications for the series from 1787 (to Giovanni Giuseppe de Wilzeck) and 1782 (to Giuseppe Piermarini), followed by a message 'L'Autore a chi Legge' (to the reader) from 1782. Following this are the series 'Alcune Decorazioni di Nobili Sale ed Altri Ornamenti' from 1787, consisting of 22 plates numbered I-XXII by Giacomo Mercoli and Andrea de Bernardis. An extra plate, numbered XXIII and dated 1788, is added to this series. Following this is the series 'Ornamenti Diversi' from 1782, consisting of 24 plates numbered I-XXIV by Giacomo Mercoli, Michelangelo Mercoli and Domenico Aspari. Bound in contemporary binding.
