About this work
Women dressed in warm winter kimonos visit the Ryūsen Temple in Meguro. The surroundings are covered with a thick layer of snow. Here stood a statue of the protective deity Fudō-myōō with black eyes, from which the Meguro ('black eyes') neighborhood derives its name. Print number 69 from a series of 100.
