About this work

Satire on a barber's shop. The barber, with moustache and crooked wig, stands on the left with his hand mixing soap in a bowl and looks sadly to the right. A customer sits in the chair, his face already covered with foam, and looks away from the barber. His large wig balances on the backrest of the chair and other wigs in different styles hang on the wall or rest on stands. A dog stands next to him.
