About this work
Developments in the theater world presented as a rebellion with revolutionaries on the barricades murdering their opponents. The rebellion led by the actor Louis Bouwmeester and his wife Theo Mann-Bouwmeester (Mrs. Frenkel-Bouwmeester). Following the First Theatrical Congress, organized by the newly formed union Bond van Nederlandsche Tooneelisten.
