A Chinese man with one leg and on crutches (war victim) asks for a place at the table at the peace negotiations between Japan and Russia, because the war was largely fought on his land. These two countries stand to the right and wipe the blood from their sabers. Above them, American President Theodore Roosevelt, the mediator as an angel of peace.
