About this work
Portraits of various actors, playwright, and director A. van Lier of the 'Hollandsch Tooneelgezelschap' (under the leadership of A. van Lier) in the performance of a play (probably 'Vriend Frits') in the Schouwburg A. van Lier (Plantage Schouwburg) on the Plantage Franschelaan in Amsterdam and in the Grand Théâtre on the Amstelstraat. Also presented, among others, Sarah Bernhardt and on the left the German actor Ernst von Possart in the role of 'Rabbi Sichel'.
