Minister of War, Johannes Willem Bergansius, shows journalist Henry Tindal a hospital ward where all European rulers lie sick in bed, to demonstrate that the Netherlands is not in danger. Following a publication by Henry Tindal on the country's insecurity: 'The Netherlands in Danger. Not a sensation novel but reality' (1889).
