The beheading of Johan van Oldenbarnevelt on the Binnenhof in The Hague on 13 May 1619. View of the square with all surrounding buildings and the assembled public. On the left side a paper flap can be lifted to reveal an image of Van Oldenbarnevelt with his servant Jan Francken and a soldier. In the tower top right the court of Prince Maurice on another paper flap. Below it a picture of Maurice. With one-line inscription containing a quote from Tacitus' Vita Agricolae in Latin.
