About this work

Fireworks to celebrate the victory at Vigo, 1702. Extensive depiction of the fireworks set off by order of the States-General on a scaffold in the Hofvijver in The Hague on 13 December 1702. In the middle of the pond a scaffold with a temple of Mars decorated with eight scenes of victories of the allies against France and Spain in the year 1702, miniature ships depict the victory at Vigo. With title and legend A-H in Dutch and French.
