Above and to the right of the portrait, part of a curtain; to the left, a pilaster with two reliefs at the bottom; one depicting a swan trampling a bat, and the other three nude female figures. To the left below the portrait frame, a laurel branch. The portrait rests on a ledge with Rabus' name and details in two lines in Dutch, and below that, a six-line verse in Dutch.
