About this work

View of the lordship of Schellach, located between Middelburg and Veere, in bird's-eye perspective. At the top left the coat of arms of the Boudaen Courten family, who had possessed the lordship since Hendrik Boudaen Courten purchased it. At the top center a scroll with the title. At the top right a putto with the coat of arms of Brigdamme. On the right in the foreground a ruin as the center of the adjacent garden of the farmstead.
