About this work

Siege and capture of Grave by William III, 25 July to 29 October 1674. Above, a view of the besieged city with medallions with portraits of William III and Rabenhaupt on either side. Below, the French leave the captured city and representatives of the city kneel before the prince. Scenes from life in a military camp on the left. At the bottom, a cartouche with the legend a-z. In the representation several inscriptions, some of which are unfinished or polished away. On either side of the print, text sheets with text about the siege of the city.
