About this work
Map of a part of Flanders, the area around Antwerp and Mechelen. In the upper right, the title cartouche with the coat of arms of Mechelen at the top. To the left of the cartouche an allegory of Truth, to the right Justitia. Below, to the right of the center, a cartouche with two scale bars: 1 1/2 Common German Miles of 15 to a degree / 2 Common French Miles or Hours' Walk. The map is provided with a degree division along the edges.
