View of the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal. On the left in the foreground the rear of the New Church, with the base of the never-completed tower (demolished in 1783). Various goods are sold in stalls along the church walls. Behind them the rear of the Town Hall on the Dam. In one of the buildings on the right was the post office.
