Sheet with two depictions. At the bottom the naval battle off the coast of Dunkirk, 18 February 1639. Battle between the States fleet under Maarten Harpertszoon Tromp and a Spanish fleet attempting to break the blockade of the harbour. In the background the places Dunkirk, Mardijk and Grevelingen. In the lower right the legend 1-7/b. At the top a map of the coastal area from Blankenberge to Boulogne and the sandbanks off the coast.
