About this work

Jason, clad in armor, has secured the Golden Fleece, Medea walks behind him. The dead dragon still writhes. Three putti hold a portrait of Philip IV of Spain, he wears the chain of the Order of the Golden Fleece. To the right is his royal coat of arms.
