About this work

Saint Benus of Tabennae tramples a hippopotamus, depicted as a mix between a horse and a bird, with his left foot, and a crocodile with his right foot. Both had caused devastation in the region where he lived. Print from a series of 80 prints and a title print with hermits from the 2nd to the 6th century.
