About this work

Rufinus, a rich priest from Aquileia, is depicted here standing. After much travel - the staff on the ground refers to this - he lived 27 years in the monastery at Jerusalem. On the ground lies a book. Print from a series of 80 prints and a title print with hermits from the 2nd to the 6th century.
