The announcement of the birth of Christ to Mary. The angel Gabriel appears to Mary who is kneeling and reading. Above Mary's head the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove. The print is part of a twelve-part series of prints with scenes from the life of Christ and the Virgin Mary.
