About this work

A Celtic chieftain, Borgar, dressed in furs, welcomes the tribe of Kaibar in his dwelling. Two of the four men hold spears and can be considered omens for the later betrayal of Kaibar. Illustration to the ninth song of the epic poem Aeddon.
