About this work
A gruesome battle between the Centaurs and the Lapiths. The Lapiths are celebrating the wedding of their king Pirithous and Hippodamea. The invited Centaurs begin a bloody fight and attempt to abduct the bride. Everything at hand is used as a weapon. Many Centaurs are killed with spears.
