About this work
Christ on the way to Golgotha. A soldier pulls him forward on a rope tied around Christ's neck. Simon of Cyrene helps Christ carry the cross. In the foreground also the two thieves who are crucified together with Christ walk in the procession. They also carry their crosses. With a Latin verse by Simon Sovius.
