About this work

A statue of the god Bacchus placed in a niche. Next to Bacchus stands a satyr who drinks from a horn that Bacchus holds. On the wall attributes of the god of wine, such as a basket and a sickle to harvest grapes, grape clusters and a leopard and a goat. These animals often pull his triumphal chariot on other images. With an inscription in Latin.
