About this work
Inhabitants of the city of Jerusalem watch as Heliodorus tries to leave the temple with the temple treasure. He is prevented by a rider and two men who beat him. The priest Onias kneels before the altar and prays to God for protection of the temple treasure. Right half of a print in two parts. Below the print the scene is explained in Latin verse lines. Bottom right the coat of arms of Wachtendonck.
