About this work
Medallion with the bust of the "Hoopman van Weisheyt" (portrait of William of Orange). In the border with grotesques, the judgments of Solomon and Cambyses are depicted, and a representation of the pious prince, unaffected by death and destruction. Sheet from a series of four sheets with a medallion in a wide border of grotesques with figures, animals, and leafy vines on a dark ground. The border around the medallion and the outer border contain Dutch and French verse lines.
