A young man with a basket on his arm offers a girl a cake. The girl sits on a chair in a room. Her little dog looks at the newcomer. Next to the girl sits a young man playing the flute. Behind her stands an older woman who places a hand on her shoulder protectively. Below the scene an inscription in Dutch and French.
