About this work

The element air, personified by a naked man sitting in the clouds. He is surrounded by birds and flying insects. In his hand he holds the symbol of air, the chameleon. In each corner of the print the four winds, as heads blowing with puffed cheeks. The print has a Latin inscription. The print is part of a four-part series on the four elements.
