About this work
In a landscape before the ruin of an ancient building, Mary and Joseph are seated. Mary shows the child, lying in a cloth, to the shepherds. Joseph sits beside her. Behind them the ox and the donkey. Shepherds approach from the right. One of them carries a basket with poultry on his head. Top left God with cherubs in a cloud.
