About this work
An unbridled horse with a globe on its back rears up as soon as Knowledge (with a book as attribute) and Love (with three children at her skirts) try to tame it with a rope. The foolishness of this action is shown by the fool's caps the personifications wear on their heads. The print is part of a four-part series where the world is represented as an unbridled horse.
