About this work
Christ prays on the Mount of Olives and an angel appears before him. The disciples who were supposed to watch with him have fallen asleep. In the background the soldiers who want to take Christ prisoner can already be seen and are marching from the city to the mountain. Print from a series of 13 prints and a title print made by Z. Dolendo and J. de Gheyn II.
