About this work
A man lights a rocket with a fuse, to the left a smiling boy with a burning torch. Below the image an eight-line verse celebrating the victory of England and the Netherlands under the leadership of William III. The print is part of a series of eight prints made in connection with the conquest of Namur in 1695.
