About this work
Copy after self-portrait of Titian with a young woman. In the bottom right a skull. The painting by Titian has been lost, through the etching by Van Dyck we know what the portrait looked like. Below the portrait is a dedication to the merchant and art lover Lucas van Uffel and an Italian poem.
