About this work

Polyphemus plays a love song on his panpipes for the sea nymph Galatea. Galatea sits on a shell pulled by dolphins. She is supported by two sea nymphs. The print originally belonged to liber 22 of the Atlas van Rome by Michiel Hinloopen (Schijnvoet book 10).
