About this work

The sea nymph Galatea rests in the arms of a sea-centaur. They are surrounded by a crowd of sea creatures. Above float four putti. The print originally belonged to liber 22 of the Atlas van Rome by Michiel Hinloopen (Schijnvoet book 10).
