About this work

The horses of Diomedes were fed with human flesh. In a fight Hercules kills Diomedes and subsequently feeds his body to his horses. In the background Hercules is seen killing the giant Cacus. Cacus has stolen a cow from Hercules' herd and drags it to his cave. Hercules surprises him with his club.
