About this work

Mary as Mater Dolorosa, supported by two angels. Mary is kneeling with outstretched arms and looks at the Tetragrammaton that has appeared in the sky. One of the angels takes the sword from her breast. In the foreground lie the Instruments of the Passion. In the margin a line of text in Latin.
