About this work
Christ is laid in the tomb by Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus. On the right a group of mourning women including Mary and Mary Magdalene. On the left in the foreground lie instruments of the Passion in a basket. In the margin a four-line inscription, in two columns, in Latin. Below that another two-line inscription in Latin.
