About this work
King Antiochus leans over a balustrade to the left. He looks at the priestess of Diana, who kneels before an altar and is struck with love. Two female servants provide her with urns and vases. In the background to the right, a statue of the goddess Diana. Title in Latin in the lower margin. The print originally belonged to book 22 of the Atlas van Rome by Michiel Hinloopen (Schijnvoet book 10).
