About this work

Tobit and Tobias bury the body of a man who was strangled on the order of the Assyrian king. Tobit is mocked by two men about his lack of fear of being caught. According to the Bible text Tobias is not present at this event and this scene takes place at night but that does not appear from the representation (Tobit 2: 7-8).
