About this work
On the way to Damascus, Saul is struck by a beam of light from heaven and thrown from his horse. Saul sits on the ground and several soldiers take care of him. A beam of light from heaven bears the words: "Saul, Saul, Quid persequeris me." Around Saul, various soldiers on horseback or on foot. Some are in panic. To the right, Christians are led away in chains. The print has a Latin inscription consisting of four lines.
