About this work
Vulcanus, standing in a niche, a hammer in his right hand, a helmet in his left hand. This print is part of a series of eight prints of classical gods, based on paintings by Polidoro da Caravaggio on the façade of a Roman house, seen and copied by Goltzius in Rome.
