About this work

Amidst recreating figures on a field stands the naked Venus as ruler over the kingdom of love on a pedestal. In her hand Venus holds a burning heart. Beside her stands Amor with arrow and bow. In the foreground, a loving couple sits in the grass. In the sky, the symbols of the zodiac signs Libra (left), Taurus (center) and Venus (right).
