About this work
A man dressed in a long cloak, full-length, seen from the left, with his right hand outstretched. Before him an altar with a statuette of Minerva. Behind him a half-closed curtain. This print (at least its final state) is part of a series of eight prints: a title print and seven numbered portraits of Greek sages.
