About this work
Hilly landscape. In the foreground, the prophet Elisha, surrounded by children. They have insulted him and he curses them in the name of the Lord. A bear comes out of the forest and tears the children apart. The print has an ornamental border with flowers and animals. It is part of a twenty-four-print series of landscapes with biblical, mythological scenes, and hunting scenes.
